Promoting Awareness

HanVoice is engaged in both political and grassroots advocacy to raise awareness among both Canadian decision makers as well as the general Canadian public. HanVoice seeks to motivate both these decision makers and the public to act to end the plight of North Korean refugees and ameliorate the human rights crisis that is evident in the DPRK.

We raise awareness through panel discussions, conferences, and HanVoice 101 sessions for Immigration Refugee Board, District School Boards, Citizenship and Immigration Canada, the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, and more.

Lobbying and Advocacy
As part of our political advocacy campaign in ‘giving voice to the voiceless’, HanVoice has started to cultivate relationships with Canadians who are in a position to change government policy towards the DPRK. HanVoice has consulted with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, the Leader of the Official Opposition, Members of Parliament, Senators, as well as officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and various other departments and agencies at the Federal and municipal level.
